The Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, presents “The Nutcracker” by the Cairo Opera Ballet, accompanied by the Cairo Opera Orchestra conducted by Maestro Mohamed Saad Pasha and directed by Armenia Kamel. Six performances will be held on the Grand Stage, in its annual tradition celebrating Christmas and the New Year.

The Nutcracker will be performed at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, December 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, with a matinee performance at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 28.

The Nutcracker is one of the most famous classical works in the world, with choreography by Ivanov, Fayunin, and Dr. Abdel Moneim Kamel, sets by Solodovnikov and Mohamed El-Gharbawi, lighting by Yasser Shaalan, and lighting by Yasser Shaalan. The music was composed by Russian composer Tchaikovsky in 1891, inspired by the story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by Ernst Hoffmann, through a literary adaptation by Alexandre Dumas, père.
