The Aswan International Festival of Culture and Arts kicks off its 13th edition under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Heno, Minister of Culture, and Major General Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, and organized by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces. The festival will continue until February 9, as part of efforts to support Egypt’s soft power and promote cultural exchange and tourism.

Eight different groups from Greece, Sudan, Palestine, Latvia, India, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, and Montenegro are participating in the festival, along with six Egyptian folk art groups from Aswan, Al-Arish, Port Said, Kafr El-Sheikh, Al-Anfoushi, and Beni Suef.

The events will kick off with a parade of the groups at the Aswan Tourist Market, followed by a river parade, while the official opening ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Fawzi Fawzi Summer Theater. Performances for the public will begin on February 5 at several cultural and tourist sites in the governorate, and the events will conclude with a grand artistic ceremony on February 9.
