The Actors’ Syndicate, in collaboration with the Academy of Arts, is organizing the eighth Egyptian Theater Festival and has announced the schedule for the eighth edition, chaired by Dr. Ashraf Zaki and director Sameh Bassiouni, vice president of the festival.

The festival will open with a special theatrical performance entitled “If Young People Knew” by writer Tawfiq al-Hakim on Saturday, October 4, at 9:00 p.m. at the Hanager Theater at the Egyptian Opera House, which will be the first performance to be presented immediately after the opening ceremony.

The plays will be presented according to the schedule at different theaters, namely: The Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, where the following will be presented: “Don’t Leave Me Alone,” “Don’t Turn Off the Sun,” “Illusion,” “Desire Under the Elms,” “When My Soul Left,” “Walls,” “Uncle’s Children,” “Light,” “Dora,” “Cairo 30,” and “24 Carats.”

The Nehad Seliha Theater will present: “I Told You to Stay, The Last Glimpse, Al Ra’iq, The Amazing Show, and The Pit.”

The Al-Nahar Theater will present: “Is Anyone Out There?, My Story with Time, The Thief, The Conflict, The House of Joy, I Speak If I Exist, and The Wrong Number.”

Al-Falaki Theater at the American University is showing: Crime and Punishment, Ya Nasini, Asir, Khalik Balbayt.

Al-Hosabir Theater is showing: Alikum Wahid (Out of the Race), Mazhuk Alia, Ternima Lwajh La Yunsah, Miramar, Al-Mahkama Game, Ajab Al-Ajab.
