The General Authority for Cultural Palaces is organizing a new meeting as part of the “Enlightenment Forum” series, titled “Mechanisms for Preserving and Documenting Folk Heritage and Traditions,” as part of efforts aimed at safeguarding intangible heritage and raising awareness of its importance.
Participants in the forum include Abdel Fattah Al-Bay, Dr. Ahmed Ezzat Youssef, and Osama Kamal, who will address ways to document folk heritage and prevent its disappearance through a discussion of collection and recording mechanisms and the importance of the community and institutional roles in protecting this heritage. The session will be moderated by Adel El-Sherbini in an open dialogue with the audience.
