The Raquda Foundation for Art and Heritage is organizing a unique cultural trip to Minya, the land of King Akhenaten and the ancient capital of unification, Akhetaten, in an experience that combines history and adventure on the banks of the Nile, where light meets history.

The trip takes you to the heart of the city of the sun, built by Akhenaten to be “Horizon of Aten,” a city of thought, art, and religion, and a living museum of Egyptian history through the ages.

Trip itinerary:

Day 1 – Friday, November 14

• Meeting point in Alexandria

• Departure point in Cairo: in front of Dandy Mall after the Cairo Gate

• Departure to Minya and check-in at the hotel

• Visit to the archaeological site of Beni Hassan and the Monastery of Jabal al-Tayr

• Dinner, then free time

Day 2 – Saturday, November 15

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Visit to the Mallawi Museum and the archaeological site of Tuna al-Jabal

• Dinner and free time on the Minya Corniche

Day 3 – Sunday, November 16

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Visit Tel el-Amarna – the capital of Akhenaten

• Depart Minya at 5 p.m.
