The French Institute in Alexandria is hosting artist Dina El Wedidi’s latest project, entitled “Echoes of Shadow,” in a musical experience that combines memory with contemplation and concentration, offering a contemporary sound that blends electronic and acoustic elements.

The project reintroduces selected songs from her “Train Station” project, along with new compositions and previous works, all reimagined through sound experiences inspired by the rhythms and textures of train stations, integrating them with organic instruments and electronic elements in a vibrant auditory scene.

The project features Rida Sax on saxophone, Andrea Segon on bass guitar and contrabass, and Barakat on trumpet, who together form a dynamic ensemble that revives electro-acoustic sounds with a contemporary vision.
