The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Walid Qanoush, is organizing an event to celebrate International Day for Intangible Cultural Heritage, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, as part of the Ministry of Culture’s interest in preserving elements of Egyptian heritage and promoting its value in shaping national identity.

A number of cultural and artistic bodies are participating in the celebration, including the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, the National Cinema Center, the National Translation Center, and the Arab Photographers Union, to highlight the importance of intangible cultural heritage as a living memory that preserves folk creativity and traditional arts in various governorates of Egypt.
